There is a case where a popular Islamic preacher who goes by the name Uthman Ibn Farooq was allegedly threatened. The video with his response can be found here:

I do not know how authentic this is. If this really did happened, then those who made the threat should be investigated, and that threat needs to be condemned. However, if it did not happen and
it turns out that he forged that letter, then it will prove that Uthman Ibn Farooq cannot be trusted.
What else can we know about this man? He has spoken in favor of some unjust things that were promoted in the Islamic sources themselves. Here is a screenshot of a conversation he had with someone
else.
As we can see here, Uthman Ibn Farooq's views are certainly not peaceful. He holds some extremist views, and he should not be listened to when he's trying to convince others to convert to Islam. He should probably be investigated as well in case he has ties to some organization. He at least needs to be called out and exposed for that statement he made.
I do not know for sure if the threat he mentioned in his video was real or not. If it really happened, then it needs to be condemned. If it didn't happen, then it will expose more dishonesty in these Islamic preachers.
What about his extremist views? He gets those views from the Islamic sources themselves. Check out our article titled "10 Reasons Why People Actually Don't Like Islam". The link is here. Special thanks to Apostate Prophet on YouTube for uploading a video on his YouTube channel talking about this incident. This is how it came to my attention. His video can be found at: https://youtu.be/sdWnBW5Bvpc
